Thomas LEE, Sr., my third-great grandfather, was born in KY. ca. 1790.
As a young man he migrated to southwest MS where he is found in
Jefferson Co. in the census of 1810. He married Milly Gennette
BAREFOOT (BAIRFOOT, BARFOOT) before 1810 possibly before he moved to
Jefferson Co. According to census records, she was born in MS. It is
possible that he was Thomas B. (BELL) LEE,the son of Major John LEE
and Elizabeth BELL LEE of Woodford Co., KY, who settled in Woodford
Co. after the Revolutionary War. Both of them were born in VA where
they were married. Are there descendants of Major John LEE and
Elizabeth LEE living in Woodford Co. area of KY? I would very much
like to complete the ancestral line of my Thomas LEE, Sr.
