Pulaski Co., KY involving an 1848 estate settlement whichlisted the heirs
of William MILES, all of his siblings from 2 differentmarriages born in
Cumberland, Buckingham, Bedford and Franklin Co.'s inVA. His father, Isham
Johnson MILES, b. before 1748, was not mentionedin the estate
settlement.Children from the first marriage with Judith Hatcher: John

Somerset.Dr. Bolin wasa cousin of my grandmother, Lula Phelps Winfrey who
was buried inSomerset cemetery Sept, 1953. Lula was the granddaughter of
JohnCrittenden Bolin and daughter of Sarah Prudence Bolin of Russell

SEWELL and his family move there in the early 1800's. He firstappears in
the 1820 census, but gave consent for Rebecca SEWELL to marryJohn FEARS on
6 Feb 1808 in Pulaski County. His relationship is notstated, but I believe
he was her father. I am also interested in theFEARS, REYNOLDS, BARCLAY
(Thanks Lonnie), Earp (ERP), SMITH families. Ialso seek information on both
Co B 24th KY Inf (US), and the 12th KY Inf(US).I believe my G-G-grandfather
was with both these units during the CivilWar. Were either units involved
in the Battle of Mill Springs (Logan'sCross Roads)? Any information on the

HiI am descended from Mary Belle THOMPSON who was born in Novof 1858 in
Pulaski co. She is supposed to be the daughter ofWilliam THOMPSON and Nancy
NICHOLS who were married in Pulaskiin 1838. BUT Family history has it that
Mary Belle who became ateacher and met her husband at Berea college was the
illigitimatechild of a Sara THOMPSON. In 1880 census of Jackson co
MaryBelle and her husband, Lafayette CORNELIUS, are living next doorto a
William THOMPSON, 66, and his daughter Cynthia THOMPSON, 40.I suspect that
Cynthia is Mary Belle's mother, but the familysays her mother's name was
Sara.Also the father of Nancy NICHOLS is supposed to be ThomasNICHOLS and
mother Jemima MOORE. The parents of Jemima aresupposed to be Joseph MOORE
and Nancy ?I understand that in 1850 census that William THOMPSON and
Nancyare living next door to an Ephrim THOMPSON who I would assumeare
brothers. There is supposed to be a Morgan THOMPSON nearby.If anyone has
any info on any of these families, please contactme. Your help is surely

BARNES.Vinson was born in 1800 in Pulaski Co. and married Viry CAUDLE there
in1821. William's wife was Mary LANKFORD. These two brothers moved toShelby
