married a Bathsheba Murphy around 1825 and moved to Todd County, KY. He
later moved his family to Missouri and is buried in New Lebanon, Mo with
Bathsheba. I am looking for any information on Edwards parents and grand

STACY: I am searching for information on Benjamin STACY, who married
Barbara Ann COMBS in 1798 and moved to Pulaski, Kentucky, c. 1810. I am
particularly interested in trying to verify a bit of family lore involving
the adoption of Jesse STACY, who may have been B.A. COMBS's son from a
previous marriage. Benjamin and Barbara were married in CASEY CO., KY. I
would appreciate any help and would be happy to share information that I
have, as well. Kathy Stacy Hoover

Researching these early Wayne Co KY families: SPURLOCK, NICHOLAS/NICHOLS,
PARTON/PARTIN, PIERCE/PEARCE/PEARSON, LLOYD, TURPIN.
These folks seemed to
all be related and to have come from upper east TN to Wayne County prior to
1815. Some of them may have been in Pulaski County before Wayne County was
formed.

Joseph G. Albonetti, albo@gate.net, Tue Oct 15 19:54:22 1996
My maternal grandfather's line, Neely, were founders of Pulaski County in
1790. My great-grandfather was David Neely, born in that area around 1860.
I have not been able to identify David Neely's father, perhaps because the
family must have moved around a bit during the Civil War. However, my line
of Neely was a settled line in Pulaski County, and began with Isaac Neely
and his son William Neely who came from Virginia in 1790. If I could find
out who David Neely's father was, I think I could trace the definitive line
back into Virginia prior to the American Revolution. Can you please help?
By the way, as a point of reference, my grandfather was John Peter Neely,
born in Pulaski County on April 11, 1880. He died in Hamilton, Ohio on May
21, 1973.

I am looking for any information about my great-grandparents and their
family who were born and lived in the area in or around Somerset, PULASKI
CO. KY. They came from Virginia or West Virginia, sometime after the Civil
War. They moved from this area to Northern Kentucky, sometime after my
grandfather's birth March 17, 1895. Probably after 1910. There was 7
children in the family; they were Gordon,Chester,James
T.,Mae,Ossie,Phillip,
(possibly killed by train as a child in Pulaski
Co.,and my Grandfather Edgar Woolford Martin.

James Sewell, jsewell@edm.net, Thu Oct 10 18:18:03 1996
I am looking for information on my family who moved into Pulaski County
around 1810, I think. Abraham Sewell (Born NC, Abt 1760-70) first appears
in the census of 1820, but there is a marriage record listing him as the
giver on consent in the marriage of Rebecca Sewell and John Fears, which
took place Feb. 2, 1808. I would like to connect with anyone who has a
connection in any way with the SEWELL family. The SEWELL family lived in
Pulaski County for most of the 1800's, and I am sure into at least the
first quarter of the 1900's. Most likely there are still SEWELL's in
Pulaski County. Abrham's wife is unknown, they had at least one son,
Dawson(Doson,Dooson,Dasin, Darsin)SEWELL who married, Mary Reynolds April
27, 1812 in Pulaski County. She is listed on the Marriage as POLLY
REYNOLD's. All other sources have her as Mary. Their son, Issac SEWELL
married Nancy SMITH on Nov 21, 1825. Their son, Benjamin SEWELL married
Elizabeth ERP also in Pulaski County. They had at least six children.
William Mathew SEWELL (born 1867), Milton G. SEWELL, Andrew F. SEWELL, John
S. SEWELL, Nancy J. SEWELL, and Silas Logan SEWELL. William Mathew SEWELL
was my Great- Grandfather. He married Lydia BARCLAY in Pulaski County on
May 2, 1899. They had only one son, my Grandfather, Robert Benjamin SEWELL,
born Oct 24, 1900. He somehow wound up in Montana where he met and married
my Grandmother. That, however, is a diffrent chapter of my Family
story......When and how did he go to Montana???? More to search out!! Thank
anyone for any help in information on the SEWELL family in Pulaski County,
Kentucky!!
