Skidmore's Sunday … Locie McKinney and wife spent Saturday night at Wallace Phelps … Mrs. Paris Poynter and children of Indiana have been spending several days at her father's, D.A. Poynter … Tom Buchanan and family visited at Mac Jenkins Sunday … Mrs. D. Couch has returned from a visit in Indiana .. Miss Ada McKinney left Sunday for Somerset to stay for some time … Rev. H.S. Measels failed to fill his appointment at Flat Lick Sunday … Chas. Sears and family left Wednesday for Pittsburg to make their home and Tom Eldridge moved into the house vacated by him …
J.D. Speak visited at W.C. Wyrick's Sunday … Mrs. D. Farley and children spent Saturday night and Sunday with her sister Mrs. Jno. Childers … Sam Early of California spent Monday night at his uncle's H.H. Buchanan.

Pulaski.  Mrs. G.H. Cottingim of Livingston, Ky., who was called to the
bedside of her brother John Morris, who is very ill, passed through here Wednesday… James Bryant and wife and son, Tom, and Mrs. Dock Bryant and son, Lucian, were guests of relatives here Friday …The proceeds from the poke supper given by the school Thursday night was $21.25 … Luther and Curtis Detherage visited friends at Stanford last week … Miss Betty Hamm has returned from Stanford where she has been attending the institute … Jim Birt and wife of Indiana are visiting relatives here … Col. Cas. Phelps is visiting his mother, Mrs. Mary Phelps.. M. Dodson of Science Hill, lead the class meeting here Wednesday night … Frank Miller and wife have returned home accompanied by her brother Estell Dungan …Pulaski ball team defeated Mayfield 6 to 10 Friday …Miss Boneta Collins of Dayton, Ohio, is at home … Miss Correll and Messrs York, Griffin and Detherage attended church at Ansel Sunday .. Mrs. M.E. Gilliland of Kings Mt. is visiting her sister Mrs. D. Surber.

Mt. Zion.  Little Thelma Lester is suffering from poison on the face and
hands … Curley Adams and family are visiting here … Judge Baugh of Science Hill is ill with small pox at the home of his grandfather

… A child of John Flynn's was buried here last Saturday

… Aunt Ellen Vaught entertained her two grandchildren one night last week .. Ollie Vaught and family have been visiting at Floyd … Mrs. A.J. Wilson and sons are with her son in Detroit .. Tom Newell and wife, Dock Newell and wife of Texas spent last Friday with Aunt Sarah Baugh .. Several folks were present at J.C. Adams Sunday.

McKinney.  There will be a singing started at Union Sunday, Sept. 5th with John Vaught as teacher … Cloyd Harmon and family visited at Carl Harmon's Sunday… The twin babies of Fred Bishop died last week

.. Oma Fugate of Cincinnati is visiting friends and relatives at this place … Chas. Bishop and wife spent Sunday with their daughter Mrs. Price .. Virgil Chaney is ill at this writing .. (remainder missing).

Norfleet.  A revival meeting is being held at the Baptist Church at Naomi by
Rev. C.C. Trimble and Rev. Merricks … Mrs. Dora Buchanan is improving nicely … L. Norfleet motored through from Illinois Thursday in his new car .. Harlan Richardson and Brent Tarter will have a sale September 7th .. Beecher Muse has returned from Illinois … Columbus Roberts of Illinois is here visiting friends … Mrs. Versie Burton of Bud, Ky., spent part of last week with her parents Dr. and Mrs. Hughes.

Ansel.  The revival will close here Tuesday .. Misses Mary and Martha Wilson, Janie Hurt and Lillian Smith visited Hattie Wilson Sunday .. The Correll girls of Pulaski attended church here Sunday …  Geo. Adams and wife of Science Hill are visiting at D.S. Sweet's … Misses Lola, Minnie and Hattie Wilson visited their sister Mrs. J.D. Sipples Saturday night.

Floyd.  Mr. Thomas and family have returned to their home at Lime Stone, Tenn., after a two weeks visit with relatives here.  They were accompanied home by Mrs. Roy Trivett and children …. Elmer Young and family of Indiana are visiting his father, Grant Young, at this place … Roy Hines and wife returned to this place Monday after a few months stay in Lockland, Ohio.  They were accompanied by Miss Mollie Griffin … Mrs. Jas. E. Todd and little daughter spent last Tuesday with Mrs. Mack Griffin … Mrs. Lawrence Lee is improving at this writing … W.H. Surber and wife spent the day Sunday and Henry Young and family … "Aunt" Jane Stout visited at the home of "Uncle" Sam Harrington … A.W. Surber and wife visited their daughter Mrs. Mack Griffin here Saturday night … Elisha Griffin and wife visited M.N. Griffin and family Saturday … Virgil Todd and family spent Sunday with relatives near Waynesburg … Mrs. Effie Benton and daughter visited J.B. Gragg and family Friday night … Mrs. Pardine Spear of Eubank was visiting her daughter Mrs. W.R. Estes one day last week.

Souls Chapel.  Willie Gover has returned from Cincinnati .. Mrs. Earl Huffman accompanied her sister to Detroit and while away she visited Canada and several other northern cities … Lindsay Cundiff has returned from Dayton, Ohio .. Taylor McGahan came home from Iowa last week … Boman Newby has returned from Ohio … Eulen Phelps of Macon, Miss., is visiting here … Mrs. Earl Dickermon, California, is visiting her mother .. Alois Newby will return to Louisville after the fair … Ralph Smith has returned from Stanford… Bill Bryant has purchased a new Ford… J.W. Parker has returned from a visit with relatives in Indiana … George Richardson and wife spent Sunday with C.T. Cundiff … Bertie and Olive Gover of Hustonville are with relatives here … Tom Smith has returned from Reading, Ohio.

Drum.  Cleve Erp and wife visited at J.R. Mounce's last Sunday … Mrs. Mintia Adkins of Illinois is visiting her father and other relatives here

Davidson recently … Miss Pauline Smith of this city and Roy Gover of Bronston were married Thursday at the home of the groom's sister Mrs. J.W. Burgess.  The popular couple have the best wishes of their many friends .. Miss Jessie Allen of Somerset was the guest of Miss Cecil Davis over Sunday.

Misses Jennie and Gertie Tomlinson Sunday … Herbert Hargis of Bloomington, Ill., is spending a few days here …
Born to Mrs. Alvin Tomlinson, a big boy.


Pointer.  There were quite a few visitors at W.R. Redmond's Monday … Miss Zula Ware and Oscar Hargis were the guests of Loretta Doss Sunday … Born to the wife of Herbert Rainwater, a boy … Clarence Rainwater has been visiting his sister, Mrs. Loretta Doss … Miss Zula Ware and Oscar Hargis of Somerset were the guests of her father Saturday night … Herbert Rainwater who has typhoid fever is better .. Otely Ware was the guest of R. Cooper Sunday .. John Morris and son-in-law are selling out to go to Indiana … Glen Vaughn visited Otley Ware Sunday … W.M. Dodson and family were the visitors at W.R.
