Email from Joanna Eads tells a very sad tale: "Emily is my great‐grandmother. She did marry Zachiah. I don't know what
happened, except she was put in a poor house in 1913. She owned a lot of land after Alexander died. They say that Zack ran
through her money and that her children would not take her in. There are 2 marriage certificates for her ‐ one in Pulaski and
one in Russell. She lived with Elizabeth (Eastham Harris) for a long time."298
