John Hodge migrated to Pulaski Co. Ky with Thomas & Judith Hodge Bastin from Caswell Co. N.C. John was in Pulaski Co. 31 Aug 1833 when he gave power to attorney to Thomas Bastin to receive funds from the estate of David Hodge, Caswell Co. N.C.

"The civil War Years: Jan 1861-Dec 1865: Isaac W. Hodge 6th Mo. Cav. in Grariot Prison of dysentery 12 April 1863 (From Missouri Republican, St. Louis) Samuel J Hodge 5th Mo. CBA, taken at Vicksburg 4 July died in Gratiot Prison of Typhoid 20 Aug 1863. (from Missiouri Republican, St. Louis) [This prison was on Grariot St in St. Louis. There is a large cemetary there. Both are buried in the NC section]
