Louisa New, 68, Parkers Lake, died September 6 at Somerset City Hospital. Her husband, Henry New, preceded her in death./  She was born April 7, 1905, in Wayne County, the daughter of the late William Tucker and Anna Maxwell Tucker. She was a housewife and member of the Day Ridge United Baptist Church./  Surviving are nine children, Dorothy Tucker, Coy New, Bethena Richmond, Logan New, Jimmy New, Ella Mae Kennedy, Fay Taylor and Ralph New, all of Parkers Lake, and Flonia Sexton of Corinth; one brother, Henry Tucker of Parkers Lake./  Funeral services were conducted September 9 at the Day Ridge United Baptist Church with Rev. Harvey Corder and Rev. Calvin Corder officiating./  Burial was in Strunk Cemetery with Hickman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements./  Pallbearers were Parker Tucker, Alvin Tucker, Joe Tucker, Wm. L. Tucker, Leon New, Bill Eubanks, Boyd Keith and Tom Taylor.
