Larry Joe WILLIS Larry Joe Willis, of London, Ky., formerly of Barbourville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born on July 31, 1947 in Knox County, Ky., the son of the late Joe and Hazel Willis. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn Sue Willis and a special cousin, Winford Morris of Fayetteville, N.C., plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He graduated from Knox Central High School and Cumberland College in Williamsburg and was employed a certified public accountant with Willis &Company, CPA, in London where he has been a resident since 1966. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007 at Bowling Funeral Home Chapel in London with Dr. James Blalock officiating. Burial followed in Barbourville Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers were John Logan, R.W. Dyche III, Jim Miles, Jim Miles Jr., Johnny Parsley, Matthew Gambrel, Denver McCowan, and Jim Storm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund. |
