Etnigh L. Messer

MANSFIELD -- Etnigh L. Messer, 79, 1003 Grace St., died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital.

Mrs. Messer was born June 23, 1927 in Olive Hill, Ky., living in the Mansfield area most of her life. She retired from Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.Mrs. Messer was a member of Wyan-dotte Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Messer of Mansfield; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Faye and Charles Boggs, Delores and Garry Mills, Patricia A. Messer, Tammy and James Kovatch, all of Mansfield; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Smith of Mansfield and a sister Malana Messer of Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eva (Jordan) Smith; three sisters and a great-grandson.

Friends may call 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Brian Phillips. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyandotte Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund.
