| Mildred Mae McFarland (September 10, 1923 - October 5, 2008) Mildred Mae McFarland age 85, of Gray, was born on September 10, 1923 in Knox County, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Floyd Merida and Maggie McKinney Merida. Mrs. McFarland died at her residence Sunday, October 5, 2008. She was a member of the Grays Baptist Church. Mrs. McFarland united in marriage to Edward McFarland. Her husband, Edward, two sisters; Rosie Sowders and Chelsea Merida and three brothers; James Merida, Hubert Merida and Lee Merida all preceded her in death. Mrs. McFarland is survived by her children; Benjamin Franklin McFarland, Susan McFarland Hollin and dear companion, Terry Jones all of Gray; grandchildren; Billy Jack Hollin, Travis Edward Hollin, Jacob Wayne Hollin and Tonia Smith; great grandchildren; Jasmine and Paige Smith; Brittany Hollin, Dylan Hollin, Austin Hollin, Marcus Hollin, Shelby Hollin, Breania Hollin, Jacyln Hollin, Morgan Hollin; Sisters; Hester Holt of Artemus, Lynn Jordan and June Bartolo both of Barbourville and Delanna Jordan of Manchester, Kentucky. Two special friends; Audiell Wyatt and Deloria Mills. Funeral Services for Mildred McFarland will be conducted at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery, with Mike Wyatt, Travis Hollin, Bill Hollin, Jacob Hollin and Randy Woody serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Wednesday after 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m. |
