Daniel Cleveland McCowan, 61, of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 at his residence. His father, Grover Cleveland McCowan; his mother, Mildred McCowan; and a sister, Betty McCowan Jones preceded him in death. His survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Joetta Gibbs McCowan; two brothers, Donald Ray McCowan of Hopkinsville and Albert B. McCowan of Corbin; and three sisters, Margie Thomas of Orange, Texas, Patricia Liford of Indianapolis, Ind. and Charmaine Burnette of Louisville. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2003 at the Hart Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dennis Engle and Rev. Chris Harp officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinehill Cemetery. The McCowan family will receive friends at the Hart Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today Thursday. Pallbearers will be Jesse Chandler, Cole Chandler, Patrick McCowan, Danny Liford, Jeff Burnett and Chris Thomas. Honorary pallbearer will be Philip Williams. The family has entrusted the Hart Funeral Home with all arrangements.

Daniel McCowan, 61, Corbin, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at his residence. He was the husband of Joetta Gibbs McCowan. Funeral services were held October 17 at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Engle and Rev. Chris Harp officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery by the Hart Funeral Home.
