Lola Mills Evans, 85, of Lafayette, Ind., formerly of Knox County, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Rosewalk Village in Lafayette. She was a daughter of the late Clark and Nancy Baker Mills and the wife of the late Nasby F. Mills and Lawrence Evans. She had worked for Andover Corporation and was a homemaker. She was a member of Kossouth St. Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Clayton Mills and wife Edith; four daughters, Blanche Marie Moore and husband Walter E., Shirley Jean Sullivan and husband Ronald Dean, Lena Carol Erb and Reva Messer; six brothers, Challis Mills and wife Pearl, Lonzo Mills, Matthew Mills and wife Betty, Delmar Mills and wife Wilma, Clinton Mills and Bradford Mills; one sister, Goldie Smith and husband Vernon; one sister-in-law, Nancy Mills; 20 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; 13 great, great grandchildren.

Services were conducted Monday, April 24 in Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Merida officiating. Burial was in the Victor Mills Cemetery on Jeffs Creek Road. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
