Buncombe County, North Carolina April Court 1801

A deed from Job Broughton to William Woodward for two tracks of land bounded as follows to wit: the first tract beginning on two sugar trees & runs north fifty degrees east 22 poles to a stake in Broughton�s old line, thence with said line west to a sugar tree & white oak, thence south 22 poles to the beginning. The second track beginning on a bunch of ____, about four poles from the ridge line and runs south 55 degrees west 46 poles to a spruce & oak on a ridge, then with the top of the ridge to Broughton�s old line, then with said line to the corner, then East to a stake at said Broughton�s corner�then south 100 poles to a white oak, then west 98 poles to a ____ and white oak, then south 26 poles to the beginning, was acknowledged in open court and ordered to be registered.
