Hobby Show
Each spring we would display our artwork and hobbies, and our 4-H projects
that we had made for the fair. Here the girls are wearing their dresses
they made and showing their sewing boxes they made. Our artwork was
displayed around the stage and on tables in the auditorium, on the third
floor of the school building at Sandfordtown.
Standing in back: Rita and Alma Harmeling, Kathy Krebs, Mary Ann Mueller,

8th Grade Graduation 1953
Sr. Gerard, Peggy Mueller, George Reusch, Elaine Bilz, Ed Moormann, Anna
Marie Duncan, Bill Krebs, Fr. John Jobst (pastor in 1953). Sr. Ancilla (not
shown) was the other Benedictine nun who taught grades 1 through 4 at this
two room school in Sandfordtown. The picture was taken in front of the
church with Hwy 17 (3-L) Highway to their back and Banklick Creek at the
foot of the hillside. In the 1937 flood of the Ohio, the water reached into
HGA church and statues were found floating in the fields.
