William Caudill. He is the son of Matthew Caudill and Temperance Fitzpatrick. He was born 1854 in Riceville, KY. He married Mary Elizabeth Scalf. William died 1895 from what is believed to be a ruptured appendix. Death place was Long Fork of Jenny's Creek. This is my g.g.grandfather.

Mary Elizabeth Scalf daughter of Archibald Scalf and Sarah Ann Sellards. She married William Caudill son of Matthew Caudill and Temperance Fitzpatrick. They were married 20 June 1876 in Martin County Kentucky. Mary died 21 Feb. 1910 in Riceville, KY.

Cynthia was born 28 Oct. 1884 Johnson Co. Ky daughter of William Caudill and Mary Elizabeth Scalf married William Howard on 27 Oct. 1906 Riceville, KY died 10 Oct. 1972 at Garrett, KY.

Archie Caudill was born Jan. 1891 Riceville, KY the son of William Caudill and Mary Elizabeth Scalf married #1 Bertha Stone, #2 Mary E. Hackworth on 6 Aug. 1919 died 17 Dec. 1977

John Caudill b. 16 July 1893 Johnson Co. KY married 23 Jan. 1915 in Riceville KY to Dollie Conley died 4 Sept. 1951

She smoked a corn cob pipe. She would carry her tobacco and pipe in her apron pocket. Her daughter, Dollie, would make my dad a chocolate pie everytime we got to go down for a visit.

Willie Howard was a farmer and coal miner.

Frank did several different things. He was a farmer, a banker, merchant and others but in 1922 he was Chief of Police in Paintsville
