Researching the Silvanus Butler family in Grant County. Silvanus Butler and Margaret Ann Fletcher came to Grant County in 1852 from Bath County. They purchased land adjoining Arnold’s Creek in 1856 using a land contract. In 1868 Silvanus lost the land in a dispute and left the county for Polk County, Missouri. They resided in the Benton township until about 1878. Margaret Ann came back with her sons Fletcher, Silas, Grandison (Grand), Sylvanus Wayne (Buck), Thomas Nicholas (my Great Grand Father) and a daughter Margaret. The boys farmed and acquired land that bordered Arnold’s Creek and the Warsaw road. Most of the boys are buried in Grant County. Margaret Ann Fletcher is buried in the Mt. Zion Public cemetery. Any information and or pictures will be appreciated.

Looking for the ancestors of John Ingram & Elizabeth Faulkner/Fortner, married August 3, 1820 in Grant Co.. They had 3 children (that I know of): Isaac (b. 1825 in Owen Co, d. 1901 in Owen Co., m. Delilah Robinson), Permilia/Millie (b. 1828 in Owen Co., m. Thomas Cobb), and Mahala (b. 1836 in Owen Co., d. 1921 in Owen Co., m. Joel Cobb). I'm not 100% sure that the John and Elizabeth that were married in Grant Co. are the same parents of the children in Owen Co., but since Grant is right next door to Owen, it didn't seem too far fetched.

Cannot find his definite birth date, who his parents and siblings were, or anything giving his death. Mary (Plunkitt) Rogers, d. 17 Mar 1917, in Grant Co & buried 18 Mar 1917 in Knoxville, Pendleton Co., KY. I cannot find her burial site in Knoxville cemeteries. I found a Susan Rich who married a George W. Rogers 25 Apr 1843 but that does fit the timeframe and the area to be Huey Rogers parents. If you can shed some light on Huey’s parents, siblings, his definite birth or death date, or where he is buried I would appreciate it. Huey is my 2nd Great Grandfather.
