A wagon headed for Pound Gap, Virginia, passes a group of men on a log. The man marked (x) is John Wright whom John Fox, Jr., used for his character, the "Red Fox," in his book "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine." Dr. Taylor, who was hanged in Virginia, was the real "Red Fox."

Dilalah Hopson was b. abt 1854 and married William Littleton Hopson , b. abt 1848, on May 16, 1870 in Floyd County Ky at the home of George Musick

My great-grandparents Miles & Lizzie (Ratliff) Frasure of Floyd Co.. The picture dates ca. 1922. Miles is the s/o Robert & Mahalah "Laura" Belle (Hagens) Frasure. Lizzie is the d/o James & Mary (Porter) Ratliff.
