Mrs. McWhorter Claimed By Death -- March 1959

Mrs. Sarah Revel McWhorter, wife of E. G. McWhorter, North 3rd St. died at Gibson Hospital at 6 p.m. Monday after a lingering illness.  A native of Fleming Co. she was a member of the Methodist Church at Paris.

Besides her husband, surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Mary Toomey, Dayton, OH, and Mrs. Bertha Columbia, Lexington; 8 sons, George and Estill Revel, Calf.  Lee Revel Connersville, IN; Oliver and Albert Revel, Lexington, and Roy, Thomas and Ray Revel, Madison Co., Reather and Harry McWhorter, Lexington,  John Henry McWhorter, Richmond, and Ray McWhorter, address unknown, 50 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

The body is at the Parke-Griggs-Curry Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday with the Rev. Clifford Drake officiating.  Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery.  Pallbearers will include Robert and James Revel, Robert Martin, William and Robert Columbia and Linville Ramsey.
